Vegetarian Recipes

I keep getting asked for some vegetarian recipes for people that are trying to cut down on meat consumption, so here we go:

Cutting down the amount of meat you eat will do wonders for your health, reduce your body fat, reduce  the chances of heart issues and bowel cancer.

You dont need as much protean as you think, i mostly stopped eating mean a year ago, i dont take protean shakes and i still maintain muscle and stregth. We should however eat protean with all of our meals ,every day as well as some protean in my snacks. this can be anything from leafy greens to nuts eggs or if you must meat and fish.

Most people get lost when they first try to cut down on me no meat? what to cook?

Here are some of my favourite recipes. I usually double or triple the ingredient and freeze up dishes to have over the next month or so. I usually have about 4 or 5 different meals in my freezer to choose from.

Indian

  • Channa Masala - Do not use tinned chickpeas, they will be full of sugar and preservatives. Although brown rice is better for you, this is better with white rice. Soak chickpeas for 24 hours in water in the fridge, ideally cook with pressure cooker or it takes a long time. make sure they are soft before you add ingredient.
  • Lentils - Yellow - Red

European

Cambodian - Vegetable curry

Persian (Im half Persian so got to include one of these!) - stew - this is so good, to make the drived lime, just leave some limes out to dry for a couple of weeks in a net bag (like what garlic comes in)

Salad dressing
Mix up a combination of olive oil, mustard, vinegar and salt and pepper and add to raw green ingredient. dont be afraid to add chopped up fruit and rice or quinoa

Make your own veg stock in bulk
Over a few weeks freeze all the left over veg you have and the parts you dont eat. Then when you have enough to fill a sauce pan, fry up some onions and garlic and then boil wit al the vegetables for two hours, also cut as many herbs as you have in your garden 9ask me and ill give you a massive bag full of them) add whatever seasoning you like. then siv out all the liquid. Then add al the liquid back to the stove and simmer  for a couple of hours or until its qite thick. Then put into a ice cube tray, let cool and freeze. then push out all of the veg stock cubes into a Tupperware box and leave in freezer. then you can just add the cube to any dish that says add beef/chicken or veg stock and it will be amazeballs.

Buy organic
Do you know whats in the veg you buy, check out this website, they buy veg wash them, cut them open and test the inside. this website shows you all the chemicals that they find
